Lauren Steadman

Lauren was born missing her lower right arm. She was challenged to be the best she can be and relishes the chance to overcome barriers. Her love of swimming saw her compete in her first Paralympic Games at the age of 11. She competed in her first triathlon, the 2011 British Championships, and came second.

In 2016, Lauren represented Team Great Britain in the sport’s inaugural entry to Paralympic Games in Rio, where she took home a silver medal.

Her current medal tally sits at 21 gold and 6 silver medals. Lauren’s achievements beyond triathlon are equally impressive. She holds degrees in Psychology and Business. She loves baking and appeared in BBC’s 2018 season of Strictly Come Dancing. As a proud ambassador of Triathlon Trust, Lauren is passionate about inspiring young people of all ages and abilities to enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle.
